Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occuring substance found in the body. Its function is to attract and retain water in the area it's injected -  filling in lines, plumping where volume has been lost, hydrating, and moisturizing. 

Depending on the area being treated, appointment times range from 30 minutes to an hour.

At Gates Medispa, our goal is to keep each client as comfortable as possible. Due to the nature of the treatment, you may experience mild discomfort at the site of injection. Depending on the area being treated, a topical numbing agent is also used for your comfort. 

There is very minimal downtime with dermal fillers. You may experience some mild bruising and/or swelling which can last up to 2 weeks. 

At Gates Medispa, we use Revanesse - a Health Canada approved dermal filler.
