What is LimeLight IPL?

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), also known as a Photofacial, is a laser resurfacing treatment targeting skin concerns such as rosacea, sun damage, and facial veins to help lift pigment, diffuse redness, and reduce the appearance of vascular lesions. At Gates MediSpa, we use the Cutera LimeLight IPL, an effective, medical-grade laser device to give you the best possible results with minimal sessions. During treatment, you may experience some heat, an "elastic band-like snap," and see a bright light. Protective eyewear is always worn, your safety and comfort are our top priority!

Is there any Downtime with LimeLight IPL?

A LimeLight IPL treatment has minimal downtime. You may experience some pigment darkening and flaking off, or a "coffee ground" like look on the skin which will naturally slough off in 7-14 days. However, on average you will be able to resume regular activity after 24-48 hours post-treatment.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

A LimeLight IPL treatment takes approximately 30 minutes. A series of 4 treatments is typically recommended 2-4 weeks apart.
